Darlene L
FL law does not allow early termination fees or insufficent notice fees for breaking lease. 9 class actions settled for legal precedence. Charged $2200 for these plus forfeiture of deposit ($300) - also illegal in FL. Should I start with collection agency or creditor?

Darlene L
Not sure. No contact ever made by collection agency. This debt popped up on credit report 12/06 and shows it was assigned to agency 2/05.
Lecasbas
You could file a dispute with the cra. They should report back to you on who is who. Otherwise you could wait until the owner of the Bad Debt contacts you. Basically, if you want to do something about the Bad Debt then you need to find out who has control of it.
