kaylea622
I have a Collection reporting to my report as an authorized user. The original creditor is UNLV/CITI. I did use the card a few times, but never signed an agreement for credit with the creditor. They now have a collection on my credit report for $17,000. Is there anyway to get this off my report. The creditor is not coming after me right now but has a judgement against my wife. I would like to get this off my credit report but don't want to alert the creditor and have them come after me. It is the only derogatory item on my report.Any suggestions?
sgip2000
Unless it was a "Joint" account, it shouldn't be on there. Try disputing it with the CRA's as "Not Mine".
ribbit1072
I just had two accounts that were my husbands that I was an authorized user on removed by saying they weren't mine. It's pretty easy. Legally you have no obligation either, so I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck!
