startinganew
HI I am 75 years old and have credit card dept that I can no longer afford to pay. I could make the payments to pay off the cards if the cc companies wouldn't be charging me so much interest. The other part of the problem is that my son in-law is named on a couple of the cards and if fact was paying them until he had a heart attach a few months ago and is now not able to go back to work. He will still pay what he can. So my question is. Can I get the cc companies to not charge me the interest so I can pay the principal or do I not pay them because I can not afford it? I am also living on a set income I get SS am a pension from the military. Can they take my money if I can't pay?
