Being Sued

Hi All,

I received a letter from an attorney representing Citibank today wanting me to call them about offering a settlement. What's curious to me is on 8/15/07 I had a summary judgement hearing with them..the last phase of the suit against me I guess. During the hearing I mentioned I needed more time to contact a lawyer, but the judge told them to send him the order. I have been waiting on pins and needles ever since thinking any day I would be getting something in the mail about garnishing my wages. ( I would be able to fight that since I am head of household and live in Fl. )

Does anyone have any idea though why the attorney suing me wouldn't have just sent the order to the judge and get the judgement against me instead of sending me a letter to settle? I find that very odd. Any replies would be appreciated

Connie
