strivingforgoodcredit
Hi, This is my first time posting on here so if this was already answered I apologize. I have judgement for $143 that was posted in Feb of 2003 to my credit report. This was because I was behind on my car payments and they were gonna try to repossess my car. I caught up with the payments in full a day or so before they served me. They still filed the judgement. I don't owe them anything. I didn't show up in court because I was afraid. My question is this:1) Is it too late to get the judgement off my credit report because its almost been 5 years?2) What do I need to do?Thanks for your help
isislc
It is not too late, you may be able to file a motion to vacate due to it being settled before the judgment was awarded. Usually this takes getting the paperwork set up and having the originator of the judgment sign off on it agreeing to it.
