bingo
First of all, why the 13 as opposed to a 7?Of course, you can rent an apt. We all have to have a place to live. As to the furniture, I'd be leary of a lawaway unless you can pay it off prior to filing. You may be better off trying to finance a modest purchase and reaffirming the loan in your bk or even, rent a furnished apt for awhile.

bingo
How much equity in the car, how much are the payments. and how lomg have you owned the car and, how much debt are you trying to discharge? Also, what sort of percentage payback to the unsecured debt?

bingo
Thing is, how much is the car worth versus how much you will have to pay unsecured creditors? It may be a better idea to file a Chapter 7, surrender the car and wipe out all cc debt.
