redskinfan
I just got a response from RAB Performance Recoveries to my DV letter, pretty quick I might add. They sent on their letterhead what would appear to be an invoice/statement of some type that has my account number, balance, past due amount, charge off date, name of OC etc etc.......after reviewing these are things they could have pulled from my credit report. At the bottom they do note they purchased the account on 8/20/07.Is this actual validation? if so any CA can provide that information as validation, true?If this is not actual validation what do I need to ask for? Thanks,Rhonda

razr
At a minimum, the debt collector is required to confirm with the creditor the amount being claimed is correct and that the person from whom they are attempting to collect the debt is the person who owes it.-r
