Well, that's embarassing!

The links busted. It was a4 page Newsweek article on cc comapnies {Cap1, Chase and, Discover are mentioned} who don't use the IIB designation and keep showing balances. The title is, "Prisoners of Debt".Peole applying for mortgages are having having to pay the debts before the companies will show a zero balance. All of the companies have been hit with lawsuits and are getting their money back plus damages. One guy paid $9K to Cap1. He got the money back plus, $5K in damages.

The defense was, they were never notifed of the discharge.

I got a trick for them. I printed a copy of the list of creditors the Bankruptcy Notification Center sent them upon discharge. Cap1 was notified electronically-even has the timestamp as to hour and minute!

I'll keep looking for the article.

This has been my beef with Crap 1 since Jun 05. I'm just counting violations. Sending ITS next week to them. They are not trying to collect but they have a judgment they keep verifying with balance and the 2 cc accounts that were IIB of which one became the judgment. Balances on the cc accounts as well and complete history up through now. One of the cc's they keep updating the chargeoff date.
