whocares
Hey all. I'm looking for ideas to decorate my shop for the holidays...I have a collection of Nutcrackers of all sizes, over 300 of them my biggest one is 7 feet tall...I want to display them but use them as a theme.I have several trees, I would like a tinsel tree....and I have some old retro tin toys to display...I was thinking of something like babes in toyland...my shop is done in metal and black....I need to know if anyone has seen something cool...or has any good ideas...Thanks
DocDon
As a shop owner, anything that doesn't:1) get you sued2) piss anyone off with different beliefsthat should narrow it down to a popsicle stick in a planter, but I like your idea better. Try to include the different nursery rhymes. I think they sell those cutouts that you can paste on the wall for that.

whocares
I finally decided not have a christmas tree...last year it was white and a pain cause it took up so much room...so no treeheres the plan...I bought 2 light up carousels for the front of the shop, they light up and move and hang on the walls...it will make an impressive entrance...as long as someone does not steal them. The awning woll be dripping with blue Icicle lightsInside the front door I'm moving the plant and flyer holder, and replacing with my 7ft Nutcracker...he's too cool...we need to build a platform to stand him on.By the storage closet I will stand my 5 foot Resin nutcracker...he lights up and is new to the collection. In the main shop I have a row of sawhorse type shelves...I will put a board wrapped with pretty paper and stand about 24 on there...the shelf unit is about 12 feet long....so I will put on small and large and special ones like my steinbachs...this year we will hot glue them down and place signs do not touch...I went crazy last time I out them out and they got touched. We have shelves and I will put some in the display case...I have them as small as 1 inch...as large a 7 feet....we will put up wrapped packages as well...last year this is now I hid my kids presents. What do ya'll think?

gypsie
I like the carousels and nutcrackers, not a fan of icicle lights, but the red tinsel tree will probably look great with your other stuff if you decide to get it.sounds like alot of fun!
