L93065
Hello,I was wondering if it counts against you when applying for home loans if lenders see collection accounts that have been charged off and sold or transfered?I think I read that they will make you pay, but if you don't know who owns the debt, do you still have to pay them off?My scores are decent enough to qualify, but I do have a couple of sold/transfered charge offs that are about 2 years old. Thanks
firstsource
Depending on the type program you get qualified for, you won't always "have to pay". Depending on the "whole picture" you many times the automated approvals come back saying don't have to pay those type accounts. If your loan has to be manually underwritten, you will have to pay. You don't look bad to the lenders as long as it is not house related. Charles
