pertristis
I recently sent out several DVs to CAs. I've received the signature confirmation cards from all of the CAs, so I know they've received them. One has responded back. The claimed debt was from a utility company at two of my old residences. The CA sent me fully itemized account statements from the original creditor, but failed to provide me with any contract stating that the CA has bought or been assigned the debt. My reading of this is that they have not validated the debt.My question is this: I think that the best way to go now is to not respond until after the thirty days have passed, so that they aren't in compliance. Am I correct in this, or should I send them a letter asking them to provide the contract stating that they've bought or been assigned the debt? Thanks
