Munda
I received this in the mail from the State of Minnesota, what does it mean? Is there an actual judgment or are they asking the court for a judgment? The Creditor is for a Providian Credit Card.

Munda
No I didn't get served. It came in the mail yesterday.I did call the county, and they said it is a judgment.I told them I was surprised because I had not received anyinfo prior and was not served any papers. She told me I needed to get the judgment vacated, whatever that means.
sgip2000
The court was correct. You can get the judgment "vacated" due to improper service. Getting it vacated will be like it was never entered. The creditor can take you to court again though, but they must serve you with proper notice.
