Crown Jewelers No longer reports to Equifax.

Below is a email I just received from Crown Jewelers.

Is there any way I can ask them to report to Equifax? Why did Crown Jewelers stop reporting to equifax? Their web site still says they report to all three.

Accounts are reported to Experian and Trans Union at the same time. Sometimes it takes credit bureau a while to update their records.

As of October 2007 we no longer report to Equifax.

If you have questions, please feel free to write us back.

Thank you.

Uhh... I've known this for months, and i have posted it. The dirt got spilled on a different board. It sounds like CJ was dropped by EQ, hence the TL's vanishing. I honestly don't think CJ fought to hard with EQ to get things fixed.

It's a worthless TL now-a-days, CJ reports to TU when they want (Now 4 months with out a update) EX is about the only one they are still reporting monthly to.

I would be really miffed if I had bought a 1500 piece of their junk to get the TL. I am somewhat bothered after spending 40 bucks for a TL that was suppose to report (And continue to remain on) all 3 cra's.

They reported when I needed it, a `1500 TL and less than .05% utilization was great...alot of places pull TU and EX...so I'm happy...I'm not buying anything else but tht 66.00 pair of Earrings will stay positive on my report for a long time...in my opinion...PRICELESS

Hi everyone!

I just received a reply about why Crown Jewlers does not report to Equifax any longer. Here is what Crown Jewelers wrote to me today........

"As of October 2007 Equifax and its affiliate CSC is no longer accepting data from Crown Jewelers.

Crown Jewelers has been a reporting member of Equifax for nearly fifteen years yet Equifax and its Affiliate CSC has not provided any reason or notice as to why they have decided to not include our data in their credit reports.

Crown Jewelers will continue to submit data, once a month, to Trans Union and Experian.

We appreciate your business very much.

Thank you.
