Navy Federal Visa.....YES!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Very Sweet indeed! With those FICOs? DAMN! I'm impressed!

That was the real shocker because I had just applied for a Cap 1 and was denied. I figured Cap 1 would be easy because my GF just got one and her credit is worse than mine, BK in 2005.....I figured what the heck apply for the Navy Federal Visa, I have been with them since 1987 and have had many loans all in good standing. Until I got this card, the only cards I had were an Orchard MC $700, a Hooters MC $1000 and a First Premiere $300, shutting down the First Premiere (high fees, low credit limit).

Navy Federal pulls EQ, you have to be a member I'm pretty sure because on the application it asked for your access number.

Congrats. NFCU gave me my first "big" credit card as well. Go ahead and apply for their line of credit. I'm sure you have heard of the trifecta. You can do their visa, mastercard, and line of credit. If you get one, you're about 99.9% guaranteed to get the other two.

I just did the line of credit when I got my visa. I was approved in a day for it.

Just applied for $5000 line of credit, instantly approved...thanks for the tip. Didn't want to try for more. Not sure if I am going for the MC or not, may wait awhile, my little burst of credit apps needs to come to a close so I can tackle the Inq's now.

Applied for and approved for NFCU MC - $6000 CL....completes the trifecta. Now need to get those inq's off of EQ.

Congrats. I've always had too luck removing EQ Inq's. Let me know how it goes for you, I recently have one that didn't budge by the normal way I do it.

The one other time I was successful at it was disputing online as normal putting the creditor name in and for account number putting "inquiry mm/dd/yy" without quotes, and then selecting not mine. I only did it once but removed the only 4 of them I had at the time. Now I have 4 more but am going to leave 1 of the NFCU for good measure. I just went online and did them today so I will see how it goes this time.
