bridgett68
I sent RE letter to CA. I stated I will send a check with RE that constitutes accord and satisfaction, and removal of tradeline (for delinquent medical bill ) .The CA replied with letter saying they can NOT remove the tradeline.I live in CALIF should send the check anyway, are they compelled to adhere to the RE of the check ? It only works if they don't respond. Don't send anything to them.
MadMonkey
There is no law that says they have to accept your stipulation upon deposit of the check. These are things you negotiate out while your talking to them. Vie phone your recording, or by mail. (Mail is your friend)Their smart and called your bluff.
Recovering Attorney
You migh tbe better off sending the $$ to the provider and ask them to tell the CA to remove th eitem since it is ruing your credit and you are sorry you couldn't get to this sooner blah blah blah. Giving a CA a check with a RE just antagonizes them
