I have a quick question. Recently I have been getting phone calls and/or messages but have no idea what the debt is that they are calling on as I have nothing in writing from them....I have DV'd in my name those that did leave a message asking for me but what about those who do not leave a message that I do not know if it is concerning my husband or myself...Can I send a DV unknown debt letter to include or cover both of us?

I got a phone call today from Curits O Barnes no messgae was left want to nip him beore he reports to the credit bureaus as of yesterday he was not listed on my report.

Thanks

Rhonda

You can't send an unknown DV letter because a DV is asking for validation and if you don't tell them who you are-they can't validate.

If you do have a name and address for the CA-just send them a letter and ask them why they are calling you and if they cannot prove they have a business relationship with you that they are in violate of the Federal and State Do Not Call registrys and that you are going to report their violations.

O.k. I may have worded that wrong.

The unknown part means I do not know what debt they are calling on nor if they are calling for me or my husband.

Per the number on the caller ID it is Curtis O Barnes so I am sending a DV letter to him to cover both my husband and myself asking him to validate whatever debt he is calling on...would this be proper?

I am trying to do this mainly to keep it from reporting on my credit report and to send him on his way.

send them two DV's one for you, one for hubby. say in the DV your calling me about a debt I know nothing about. I here by dispute any and all debts listed in my name that are currently placed with your company for collections. I expect validation of the debt or no further collection efforts until I receive proper validation.
