NewLife4Me
Go to optoutprescreen.com which you can sign up to be removed from mailing lists by places like timeshare companies, all the credit card apps you get in the mail. things like that. see, these companies do a sort of pre-screen on your credit to make sure they can even send you their offers, this gets done many many times throughout a year and it will drop your FICO score eventually. by removing your info from the list of solicitors, your FICO should increase a few points within 90 days. newbie7069
....by removing your info from the list of solicitors, your FICO should increase a few points within 90 days. The inquiries you are describing would all be soft-pulls and have no impact on your credit score. merkurfan
I posted this info a month or so ago (the site) and no, your scores will not change. soft pulls don't affect your score thank god. I have a year of soft pulls on EX.
ThisDernCredit
Yes they are right. Opting out won't increase your credit score; however it could perhaps reduce your risk of identity theft, which we all know is on the rise. I highly recommend it.
