myscoresawful
This is not going to always work, but you can certainly try it as a last ditch effort.by looking up a company's web domain name, it will give you info on the admin person there. While this may not always be someone who can help you, it usually is in the mom and pop CAs.A good search avenue is www.whois.com it will provide information such as the following:(Example used was AFNI)Registrant: Make this info private Afni 404 Brock Drive Bloomington, IL 61701 US Domain Name: AFNICOLLECTIONS.COM Administrative Contact : Angelo, Alan alanangelo@afninet.com 404 Brock Drive Bloomington, IL 61701 US Phone: 309-820-2918 Technical Contact : Network Solutions, LLC. customerservice@networksolutions.com 13861 Sunrise Valley Drive Herndon, VA 20171 US Phone: 1-888-642-9675 Fax: 571-434-4620 Record expires on 28-Feb-2012 Record created on 28-Feb-2002 Database last updated on 22-Jun-2006 you can play with this, there's no guarantee it will work in all cases, but maybe it will be helpful to some. pandmel
Another thing that will work well too if you are looking for an email addressis to search Google "@thedomainname.com" with the quotes then the Big G willonly display results that includes @thedomainname.com.You gotta use the quotes.Another thing is if you have a name of an individual you are trying to contactyou can usually find an email "footprint".Most always companies will set up emails in a certain format.j.doe@domainname.com john.doe@domainname.com johndoe@domainname.comYou can discover the footprint using the Google search. Also you can use variations like sales@ admin@ webmaster@ abuse@compliance@Just be creative. I never knew that about the "quotes" using google, no wonder I've bombed out there so many times!I have tried the guessing game with a few of them (ex I know the person I need to contact is named joe blow so use variations of jblow, joeblow, joeb @whateverco.com) it's come through for me a few times, but one lady I used about 7 variations to her name, and later found out it was her name with a . in between her first and last name.I had never heard of that either on email addresses. Thanks for your imput!
