covenantmom
Does anyone know how long a dimissed ch13 will stay on cr? And whether it is from the original date of filing or is it from the date it was dismissed?
LadynRed
A DISMISSED CH 13 stays on your reports for 10 years from the FILING date.

ABaldbrotha
I think you have to check when the BK laws changed. Mine went on in Jan 2001 and it is gone this month. In fact, EX already took it off.________MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN BAKERSFIELD CA Edited May 15, 2011 by ABaldbrotha

LadynRed
The new BK law had NOTHING to do with how long a BK stays on your credit reports. The FCRA says ALL bankruptcies can be on your reports for no more than 10 years. The CRA's have apparently gotten in the habit of removing DISCHARGED Ch 13's after 7 years, but a DISMISSED Ch 13 stays the full 10 like a Ch 7.
