lovebug5
I'm curious to know if anyone out there has dealt with this and what the final outcome of the situation happened to be...I left the country on November 1st and returned on November 17th. During the time that I was gone, multiple new TL's were added to my CR and a positive payment history showed up. I knew this was going to happen, so I was curious to see what was going to happen to my scores by the time I came home. The day after I returned home, I pulled my credit and found that both my TU and EQ scores had gone up a tiny bit...But my EX score? It has remained the same. Despite having the new open lines of credit and the positive payment history, my score hasn't budged. Not one single point. And this is incredibly irritating. These are my FAKO's, not my FICO's - keep in mind.I know that scores tend to yo-yo when you go on "app sprees", that scores can temporarily drop when multiple new TL's are added, and that eventually with the positive payment history the scores will jump relatively high. However, with the addition of everything, I was expecting my scores to jump higher than they did...I was especially expecting my EX score to move. Nada.So has anyone dealt with this? Did your EX score suddenly sky rocket? I'm purchasing my FICO's in a few days, so that'll be the true testament to my repair and rebuild process. But watching your FAKO's can be pretty stressful, especially when you're not seeing any benefit to the work you're putting in. EX is evil.
Amerikaner83
you said it yourself....why are you worrying? These are my FAKO's, not my FICO's - keep in mindMy FAKOs haven't changed in a full 2 or 3 weeks, though my CRs certainly have! But on a side note - your FAKO would not be a direct result of EX. It's TC or whatever you're using based off your EX report. Keep that in mind. Rick9972
*shrugs* First of nov I had a collection account update their information and lost 5 pts off each of the 3 fakos.Next day I had 2 collection accounts deleted off all 3 and did not get a single pt of Fako improvement. Also my scores have not changed a single point in over 3 weeks now.
Freak
It seems to me, that my EX score is a little slower updating for some reason. I added a few TL to mine, and both TU and EQ went up when they started reporting. EX was a couple of weeks later, and then, the jump wasn't near as much as the other two. Its confusing, because TU does the calculations for the scores. I have yet to figure it out either.
Moriah4
Lovebug I don't tend to look at anything but fico's and they yoyo just like fako's I use to get a fako when I had TC but only TU so never paid it any attention. Have score watch and EQ is a definate YOYO makes me crazy. So I know how you feel. I still believe that Fair Issac owning EX has a great deal to do with a lot of the things that goes on with the happenings there but to hear Fair Issac tell it they are not in the CR business don't know how they figure that if they own the darn company. But who am I Esp since it is the only privately owned CRA out there. Just read that recently in an article that we were directed to from here. So. Congrats and Have Happy HolidaysMoriah
lovebug5
Good points, all. I'm not going to worry myself over this until I pull my FICO's and check them out. Hopefully there will be a significant difference between my last FICO pull and my next FICO pull, considering that the last time my FICO's were pulled they were much lower than my FAKO's. *sigh*I just think that EX sucks. virtualrn
Your FICO scores will be the final measure....just pulled mine after 4 months and wish I hadn't shelled out the bucks. Be sure and use their promotion code: Holiday25-25% off....Eq and TU jumped almost 100 points but EX dropped from 632 to 624 with no changes other than 11 inquiries gone and longer positive timelines....they are consumer eaters!!!! Experiasses!!!!
jasen
They wouldn't want to anger their customers by giving consumers higher scores for little paltry things like showing positive payment history now would they? The customer is always right. And these customers love bad credit.
