American Express... Best trick yet!!!

Recommended Posts

Currently have a Amex Gold Card it is the only card I have yet to screw up with, have been a member since 2000.

Applied and was approved for a Starwoods Amex card CL 5000k. Once I looked at the card I noticed that it said I have been a member since 2000. It has yet to post to my file.

Does this mean I will receive 7yrs of outstanding credit on my file? Has this happened to anyone else?

Just an FYI they pulled from Exp.

Kinda had something similar.. Had an Abercrombie & Fitch card from many years ago that I closed back in 2001... Reapplied for it this year and they just reopened my account.. Credit file shows it open since 2000 with perfect payment history for 7+ years.. :)

Hopefully yours shows the same.

Yep, it'll report with an opening date of the month you opened that account and the year you opened your first account. I'll get two years of age when my Green reports.
