leaper924s
Has anyone here come accross a Florida bk7 attorney who you feel did you a professional job? I'm having trouble getting an attorney that will guarantee me that he/she will handle the case from start to end..Most attys offices have secretarys that do what they are told, then type it up and that's it. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I don't like the sounds of that. I have heard and read of too many horror stories about misfilings and overlooking important questions that should have been asked of the client.. nascar
I'm having trouble getting an attorney that will guarantee me that he/she will handle the case from start to end. That's because it's very difficult to define what might be "the end." Most representation agreements will be very specific in what is provided, for how long or to what extent, and for how much.
Freak
Mine was pretty straightforward. First, know everyone you owe money too. If you been a study of this website, that should be a given. Make sure those things are on the paperwork. I've been post BK for almost 6 years, and it is still "not over." The attorney did his part though. Like nascar said, it is all in the agreement, and if something gets left out, it should be pretty easy to resolve.IMHO... leaper924s
Thanks for the replys ...I'm looking for an attorney who will take down the pertinent info, ask the necessary questions, file the correct forms and guide me thru the process. I don't care who does the typing or filing.. The first lawyer I met with seemed more interested in how I was going to pay than what problems I might encounter. He called a young lady 25 or so into his office and said "This is xxxxxxxx, she will be your contact". Is that typical? Thanks, leaper

jbillings2
all the attorney is going to do is show up in court to reppresent you.At the intial meeting with you he will ask you some questions, how much debt, wages, and so forth. You will then receive a huge amount of paperwork to fill out,and you had better be honest,or it will come back and bite you in the butt. The lawyer is only going to go by what you reply in the paperwork. It is a simple process, don't make it harder than it is.
