lovebug5
Well all, as many of you know, I've been anxiously awaiting today...As I had planned on pulling my FICO's every three months to check my progress and, well, today was the end of my first "credit repair quarter."Since my first FICO score pull on September 4th, my TU score jumped 102 points. EX jumped 63 points. EQ jumped 59 points. I am now officially a part of the FICO 600 club. Woo-Hoo!!!Just thought I'd share, since my 102 TU point jump made me a happy little camper. And, considering the fact that I'm only 6 months out of my CH7 discharge, I feel as though I'm making good progress.By my next quarterly pull (which will be on March 4th, 2008), my goal is to have hit 650's across the board. lovebug5
Why thank you! I'm now in the process of dissecting all of the information that FICO gives you about what is hurting your score...And I find it incredibly interesting.TU is telling me that my amount of new credit is in the "bad" category - which is ironic, since I've had 8 new TL's reported since my last pull. Guess that's just another reason to go for the trifecta, huh? (I take the above statement back...I'm thinking that the amount of new credit has hurt my score a tad...) Amerikaner83
it can, doesn't mean it does. I'm of the opinion that any hurt caused by a new account is negated if that new account has a until % under 5. Just my personal way of looking at things. lovebug5
Well, my current cumulative utilization is at 1%. Now, I'd say that's pretty good...I'm going to have to write a novella about my plan.

brokeinok
WOW! That is so awesome! Mine is going much more slowly.... I'm really starting to think about a BK7 or BK13! Perhaps starting over will push me to 600. I too will be pulling ficos again in late February and my goal is to be at 600! Time for a party....

virtualrn
Good for you-also, realize, though you are in the BK club-you are in a different catergory than those without a bk
lolah
Congrats! I still don't understand, though, how someone who has filed BK can have better scores than someone who doesn't. My parents just decided to file and my Mom was upset about "ruining her credit". I told her not to worry. In spite of the BK, her credit score would be higher than mine in 6 months! My parents just decided to file and my Mom was upset about "ruining her credit". I told her not to worry. In spite of the BK, her credit score would be higher than mine in 6 months!I'm pretty sure that my scores can be attributed to the number of deletions that I've had since I started my process, my 1% utilization, my low number of IQ's, etc. If you look at my CR's at this point, you wouldn't even understand why I filed for BK in the first place...I've cleaned my reports up enough that the BK seems frivolous. Amerikaner83
VirtualRN brings up a good point - As if credit scoring wasn't hard enough to understand...A 600 with a BK is NOT the same as a 600 w/o the BK. two different scoring "tiers".
