BMN
I have a situation that I am fighting tooth and nail with. I have a collection account where Junk Debt Buyer #3 reported on my credit report that Junk debt Buyer #1 is the original creditor, they have it listed on the CR as:Original creditor- JDB / Bank xxxI was wondering why they would list a JDB that they purchased the debt from as the original creditor along with the original creditor behind that. I thought the FDCPA clearly defined the classification of an original creditor?Since the CA's/JDB's cruise this site and the situation is very sensitive right now, I am not using real names until it is resolved. The debt is past SOL. and the original creditor has been off the reports for awhile.I have also hammered this JDB with mutliple DV's and they have not provided any accounting history of the debt, only an amount due, and still continue to report to CRA's monthly. BMN
They have it listed on all 3 CRA's as an installment account as well. I have a consumer law attorney whom I am sent all documentation to, along with my credit reports, I possibly have them on 3 violations, This will be aging off my reports next summer, but I can't resist kicking the sleeping giant. It is SOL.
