pointman
Did you only dispute one item? The one they deleted? Are you entering the original report file number? If they consider the investigation "open" and you haven't received their written response along with your new credit report, they can add an additional 15 days to the time frame and it could be 45 days before you hear from them. I did about six items at a time and I waited until I got their reply before I disputed again.
jbusta
i disputed 1 address, it was deleted. How soon after can someone dispute again?
Freak
It has been my experience, that when you dispute online with TU, you have to wait 30 days from the time dispute 1 is submitted. So, if you submit a dispute on Dec 1, it is deleted on Dec 4, you still have to wait until Dec 31.
stefdr
It does take the entire month before you can dispute online again in my experience. Its best to dispute everything you are going to dispute all at once. I haven't had an investigation take longer than a month with multiple TU disputes. jbusta
ah crap, thanks guys.Would it matter, or can I, dispute via mail or by phone , to surpass the 30day limit?
dinomosin
I had the same problem of not being able to dispute so I did a phone dispute which took about 5 minutes (4 of which trying to translate what the lady was saying.) It was sure better than waiting 30 days.
jbusta
ok, i think i will try the phone. Does anyone know what to say about disputing a past TL, now that the address associated with it was removed? What should I say and what can I expect to be asked?
