Hmmmmmmmmmmm....

Summer of 1974....moving from a pretty bad neighborhood to a great neighborhood!

1995.......When I got married of course! :p

1997........When my first was born!

July 1997 moving from southside to northwest side. Got the job I'm at today which has presented many opportunities in all aspects of my life. If I were still in the southside I would have never been where I'm at today.

Jan 2001....When grandma passed away and Nov 2005...when mom passed away. :( My whole family just is not the same! :(

Don't know if I feel better or worse after this Teena Meana! :?

8-)

January '80 - moving from small town to Fort Worth. My first experience with nasty kids.....seriously changed my personality and I probably still need therapy.

May '90 - my first serious job. But the changing point was that they told me if I was going to work there I had to stop partying every night.

July '91 - when I met DH

February '98 - birth of my first child

Blue collar does pay well if you find the right field. Then again.... I am a machinest, a electronics technician, a programer, a welder, a fabricator, a refridgeration expert, a heating specialist, customer service rep, accountant and I am constantly in training for something.

Oh ya, and according to MS money I have over the past 15 years invested 100,000 bucks in tooling and special equiptment.

Makes ya think twice before you complain about the bill for getting your car fixed don't it?

Reminds me of that book "The Five People You Meet In Heaven"

1975 ... my father died when I was ten years old

1984 ... started college, got engaged and lost him to a drunk driver

1988 ... my daughter was born, sweetest baby ever, hardly cried or fussed.

1999 ... lived through an F5 tornado and also discovered rather abruptly

that I wasn't going to be married anymore

2003 ... lost my mother who was my very best friend and met the love

of my life

Dammit, Tina…

Hmmmmm. This is gonna be tough.

1. A long, long time ago: When I was about six years old, some OSHA inspector decided all those rocks were a hazard and that they needed something soft around them. He red-tagged the whole durned planet, so some guy came up with this stuff

dirt.jpg

Geez…………my mom was pissed!

2. Found my “second” family: While away from home, I was feelin’ a little lonesome. I soon met up with a bunch of nice folks, Bob & Francine Neanderthal and their kids. We still keep in touch!

neanderthal.jpg

Actually, they were kinda dense, they had the kind of body hair that you see on public toilets and go “OH MY GAAAAAAAD! – It’s as long as my ARM!!!!” and you could smell ‘em more than a mile away, but I loved ‘em, anyway.

(Note: Chasey, you have my permission to use the above statement. Tango might like to incorporate that into his wedding vows.)

3. Booboo @ work: Long ago, I worked as a physician in Greece. I had just done a complete physical examination on Tina – don’t let her fool you, she’s been around a while. Anyway, I left the exam room in a daze – I’d NEVER seen anything like that before. I was carrying her specimen to the lab when I seem to remember a nurse coming up to me, saying “Is that the barium for the patient in room 137?” I guess that I just grunted something, and I guess that she took it from me – I just remember finding my way back to my office, sitting and staring at the wall…still in shock.

Suddenly, the nurse burst in, saying something about “Mr. Socrates drank that stuff & then he went down like a bag o’ hammers!!!”

socrates.jpg

I “came to,” realized the pickle I was in, and took off for Europe like a scalded dog. I sure hope he was OK.

4. Somewhere around the 1500’s: Failed relationship No. 1 - So, I was dating this French lady in Paris. She was okay, but I hadn’t been able to get with 6 feet of her ‘cause of those big dresses and stuff.

freench.jpg

Finally, one night she relented, and I THOUGHT I was gonna get lucky. After about 2 hours of trying to unwrap all that stuff – dress, petticoats, powdered wig, hoops, corset, etc., I suddenly fell ill…

STANK-AY!!!

I guess the half-gallon of perfume that she wore worked well at 6 feet or greater. Pew! Don’t they have soap & water over there? Wow…well, I picked my self up & got the heck outta there, booked passage on a ship headed for America, where people bathe every day with real soap & water!

As a side note, she went on to date Gordon Ramsay…

5. Failed relationship No. 2: A short time later, in the US, I met a really nice girl nameof Pocahontas. She was lots of fun, good personality, fun to talk to and a purdy darned fine dancer, to boot!

pocahontas.jpg

My only beef with her was that after dancin’ with her all evening and droppin’ her off at home, when I’d get in my car, I noticed that the upholstery smelled all beavery. She swore up and down that her dress was doeskin, but I know shaved beaver when I see it.

It just didn’t work out. When you ain’t got trust, you ain’t got nuthin’.

That’s five, but I have one more that will HOPEFULLY work out for me next year.

6. 2008 – some guys asked me if I’d be interest in an erection in 2008. At my age, I naturally said “Heck, YEAH!!!” Wish me luck!

Y'all have a pleasurable weekend. Looks like we're gonna get an ugly ol' ice storm come Sunday. BLECH! :)++
