CitiMortgage again!

So some of you remember when CitMortgage and I had a go-round over a payment that wasn't late. (September payment)

They finally fixed it..(their erronious reporting) ..........sort of. They have managed to update EQ to pays as agreed, and left a great big nasty 30 under September.

Experian and Trans Union apparently knew what to do, how to fix it...but EQ................I have decided they are indeed either stupid, or else it is indeed Citi. I prefer to think it is Citi, because in all honesty CSC -aka EQ has really never been a problem for me. Everything I've requested deletion on has went away.........etc.

Just faxed Citi 9 pages, which includes the original correspondence, and all the copies of what the EQ report looks like *the part that is their reporting is all though.

Now, they say to mail my proof it's not been fixed to them (Citi) to their disputes address. What I did was FAX..and intend to FAX again in an hour or so, and then again tomorrow, etc. .....until I see some results. Does anyone see a problem with this?

Or do I HAVE to mail this stuff? We're talking 9 pages, and this means a trip to stand in line at the PO. I am hoping that the FAX route will get their attention. Anyone have thoughts regarding this?

No offense, but you are not escalating your problem. You are sending it to the same people hoping they will fix it. In my opinion, you need to take a few steps above them...go straight to the top.

Yes I am completely in the right. I have proof I made the payment, (printed copy with transaction number and confrmation) proof they didn't grab it and made no attempt (that from my bank) A letter from them saying they will correct the problem, and another letter from them saying they have corrected it. However, they haven't fixed EQ...a paid as agreed is not the same as removing a 30 day late.

So I flip a coin and decide whether to sue or write the new CEO.

I think I will start with the CEO, and if this stuff isn't fixed before the end of the month, no I think I will allow them just 10 days. I will send an ITS. (Always wanted to do that tee hee)

Thanks to both of you,

Z

You know...if we had bought Cranky's truck even one week later, our FICO's would have been so much lower over this, that we would have got horrid interest rates.

IMO, I would also send another dispute to EQ and tell them you have new info that needs to be verified.

  • 1 month later...

Thanks for Asking Fizzle

They keep sending letters saying it's fixed. (Citi)

I spoke with a human at EQ, and she asked me to fax what they'd sent me ...etc. I did, and she has put both Cranky's and my accounts in dispute. She said she couldn't do his, but I guess those letters from Citi

were good enough for her to go ahead and run with it.

What really frys me is I can't even apply for credit with that recent so called late on EQ . I had though one more card would be nice...

I can't believe it's gone on this long. Did you file a complaint with the BBB? What about the Office of the Comptroller of Currency? They regulate banks. I'd be on the phone with Citi everyday, all day long until it was resolved. Then again, I have no life besides credit repair!
