Sometimes Disputing Incorrect Info Can Hurt!

Recommended Posts

So DH called EX yesterday to get the 90 day FA off of his report...should have fallen off late November. After jumping through hoops to finally talk to a live person, they took it off no problem.

So while he was talking to someone, he disputed the names that were listed, including his father/grandfather's name (their middle initial is V and DH's is R)

They say it's tied to a TL. A GOOD tradeline...so while the name has dropped off, a long and good TL is being investigated.

Oh well...it's not his, it's his father's and while the history and good payments were probably helping him, DH needs to continue with his own good payments and history from now on. xdancex

Very very true...Disputing names and addresses can end up hurting you in the long run. That's why people suggest trying to figure out what TL's the names/addresses are tied to before disputing them. :)
