lavs412
I sent an untimely DV to First REsolution Investments.JDB #2 Listed on EX and EQ CR as collection Their response: we bought the debt from Compucredit who is the Orginal creditor which this is how it is listed on CR(umm no the OC is Aspire)Sent a copy of an Experian Bulleye report showing that they had marked the account paid and that I was disputing. So I am assumoing that this is not proper validation, but since they have now attempted to validate should I take this as first contact and resend another DV and demand validation within 30 days or demand deletion?CRA's both verified. I disputed as not mine the first time and Obsolete the second time. At first they were showing the Pament history with the DOFD as 9/00, now that longer shows. This item is scheduled to fall off 3/08, on my old CR's it first showed 12/07 then changed to 2/08 and then changed again to 3/08. i would like to get it off now. What should I do? lovebug5
I sent an untimely DV to First REsolution Investments.JDB #2 Listed on EX and EQ CR as collection Their response: we bought the debt from Compucredit who is the Orginal creditor which this is how it is listed on CR(umm no the OC is Aspire)You have documentation of the JDB falsely claiming that Compucredit is the OC? And Compucredit has a listing on your CR for the account as well but Aspire never listed?
lavs412
I have response letter to my DV from JDB (JDB #2)First Resolution Management Corporation affiliated with First Reslution Investment Corporation (It's FRIC that posting to CR)Here's what it says:We are in receipt of your letter dated 9/30/07 regarding the above account.First Resolution Investment Corporation purchased this account and placed it with our company for collection. We advise that this account is settled in full and closed in our system. You have no further obligation on this account. The credit reporting agencies have already been notified. We have enclosed a copy of an Experian Bullseye report, showing that our trade line is accurately reported as settled in full, for your records. The original creditor is Compucredit Acquisition Funding PO Box 105341, Atlanta, GA 20248.It has been a pleasure working with you; If you have any further questions, please call us toll free at 1-888-663-1717 I went back to November, 2000, and Compucredit (JDB #1) never reported.Aspire (OC) did report up until on or about 6/01, when the acct was charged off...then it dropped off both reports..this is where I can see the DOFD of 9/00. I submitted EX and EQ copies of their CRs showing this but they came back with "Verified as accurate reporting"So my questions: How do I prove to FRIC that Aspire is the Original Creditor and who they bought it from?I know we're only looking at 90+ days before it falls off, I jsut want to get it off, especially when it shouldn't be there! Funny thing is, I never ever heard from or of Compucredit until I started pulling my CR's in March, 07.......Thanks Lovebug!!
Big Time
I'll bet you can wait about a month, then do a nice, quiet online dispute with the CRA's and it will come off.
lavs412
Interesting Big Time......and my dispute reason? Just curious, why do think that would work?
Big Time
Usually, most people put that a date or amount is wrong, whcih triggers and investigations. During the investigation, the CRA will contact the JDB(s) and ask them what's up with their tradeline, and if the JDB doesn't bother to respond, the TL will get deleted. You also may just get a lazy person at the CRA who just deletes it, especially if they have been getting a lot of disputes and complaints about a particular client. It doesn't always work, but I got a lot of deletions that way, especially JDB's. razr
At a minimum, the debt collector is required to confirm with the original creditor the amount being claimed is correct and that the person from whom they are attempting to collect the debt is the person who owes it. -r
