divinemadness Posted December 9, 2007 Report Share Posted December 9, 2007 im wondering how to get a judgement off my file?i paid it, what the court said to pay of 702 but then cap ones lawyer here in nj is telling me i still owe money, the total was 1056.00.im not paying that friggin lawayer another dime. it took her 6 months to send the money i paid her to capital one for them to update there files!!!! If so, send that to the CA and tell them it's paid in full. If you want the judgment off your file, that's another matter. You can dispute which of course will probably just come back as verified. Best thing to do is write the CRA a letter and say: "I have no judgment of record from this court, on this date, for this amount". This will force the court to investigate. Remember, judgments stick by name and address...so getting the address removed FIRST that is tied to the judgment will sometimes work.
