I have an account that is over the SOL who should I contact to try & pay? Verizon & CA are in my adverse acc listing. Should I neg with the CA (maybe a fraction) or pay in full to verizon? Verizon is listing as charged off as bad debt. Thanks in advance.

I'd try to negotiate with Verizon for a PFD...But in your PFD letter, I'd request removal of the account from your CR's by both the CA that they have assigned the debt to and Verizon themselves.

Sometimes OC's have contracts with CA's which bind them from accepting payment from their customers. In that case, you'd have to go with the CA.

WHen you say OVER the SOL, do you mean it has been over four years (for TX residents) from the date of last payment on this account?

Experian is showing to be reported from 9/03 & listing it to continue on record until 3/2010, CSC shows last payment date 9/03. TransUnion shows under Verizon that the date closed was 03/04 & CA reporting 3/06 placed for colletions, estimating to be removed 8/2010. The SOL is from the LAD?
