A thief around me!

Recommended Posts

Okay guys I'm a busy lady so I do most of my shopping online. Well, about a week ago I ordered my kiddos some clothes from Macy's.com that I got a great deal on! These were Christmas presents so I am all excited to get home because I have tracked the package and it shows on ups.com that it was delivered to my carport. So I pull up and there is no package! So I'm thinking maybe UPS put it on my backporch, but again, no package! So guys somebody took it upon theirselves to walk up into my yard and steal my kid's Christmas clothes!

The thing that makes me the maddest is that the person that took them was probably some young punk who thought it was something cool and then when they saw it was baby and toddler clothes they probably just threw all the clothes away.

:-( And that's just like money wasted because Macy's is probably not going to give me my money back. If there's one there's one thing in life I hate it is a thief!

Had to vent! I'm trying hard to remember that what goes around comes around!

I would definitely check with Macy's. Was someone suppose to sign for package? When I ordered stuff I had someone collect the packages for me so I never had a problem and don't remember if someone had to sign, but if I had not received it I would have definitely called tlhem.

Still.....how terrible.

Sorry Deanna :(

Thanks guys!

So I checked with my neighbors and while they were sympathetic, they weren't exactly helpful.....so I am not sure. But I contacted Macy's and the cust. service rep. said he would file a claim and Macy's would be emailing me updates.......and the rep. was not friendly. So hopefully I will get my macy's card refunded. In the meantime-I'm going to buy some "Trespassers Will Be Shot" signs! lmao!!!!!!

The last thing you wanted after finding out that your kids clothes were stolen, was to have a rep who was not friendly. I am a CEO letter writing freak and in most cases, it has paid off. I'd write the CEO of Macy's a letter.

Did somebody say Freak?

I agree with Fizzle. Also, I'm not sure about store cards, but you may have other protections available because you charged it to a credit card. You might be able to dispute the charge.

I'm thinking about doing that. It seems everytime I call Macy's I get the same guy. I imagine him as a man about 5 ft tall wormy little know it all who wants to take his miserable life out on all his poor Macy customers........lol. But then again I could be wrong. Macy's still hasn't updated me on what's going on, so I guess I'll have to call again. With my luck I'll probably get the same smartmouth guy again...........lol.

Request to speak to his supervisor. Mention BBB.

you must be in lubbock...that is the THIEVINGEST town i've ever lived in.

once, there were two guys with a box full of garage door openers. they went through town(especially the nicer neighborhoods) clicking away to see which ones operated which doors. later they woould come back and clean out the tools, lawnmowers, and anything else pawnable.

same town, thieves broke into my pickup, stole a toolbox of mechanic's tools then used them to steal every radio in every car on both sides of my street for two blocks. grrrrr.

I am waiting for the Macy's update. Any news?

Uh masterP:

You need to remember that this (Texas) is no longer the old west,

(contrary to popular opinon) and the authorities are beginning to frown on shotguns and such .......which at times can be very distressing to those of us who value our property.

For public CCW, I do agree though, a 9MM or a .45ACP is a much better choice.

Personally, I'd like to get a nice .40 caliber. The .45's can go through a target, whereas I think the .40 has better stopping power (because the cap can rattle inside the target as opposed to the .45 which will go straight through it).

But I still like my Desert Eagle 9MM :-D

Sorry to hear that Deanna...

There was a Dallas news story this w/e about thieves following the big brown trucks around and taking packages off the porch. One lady said her doorbell rang and she looked out the window to see the UPS driver hopping into his truck and driving away. Before she could get to her front door, someone had grifted the package and made off with it!

My daily choice; A pair of Glock .40s; Models 22 and 27.

"I pity the fool!" 'Nuff said.
