Address DV to a specific person or just the CA?

Recommended Posts

Now that I'm cleaning up my CR, old CAs are coming out the woodwork. I honestly think that they employ monitoring software that keeps tabs on old accounts and alerts them when it looks like someone is no longer ignoring their credit history. Got two new notices today alone.

Anyhow... I had an old Sprint debt that quickly deleted when I sent an untimely DV to the JDB a couple of months ago. It looks like they just sold it off to another unsuspecting JDB instead (no honor among thieves, I guess). Got these new guys' dunning today. Michigan requires CA licensing, so I looked them up online (JDB is "AFNI") and found their licensed manager. Should I send the CMRRR directly to him, or just use the address on the dunning letter?

I make it a habit of always sending letters to specific people, not the general CA address. I usually go for the President/CEO of the CA. ;)
