daveyzzz
Anyone refi their car through Capital One Auto? I got a slightly better rate through them than my current loan through Citifinancial Auto. They moved me up from 12.65% to 10.95%. Not a huge savings, but I am probably going to refi again in about 6 months so it's a step in the right direction.I know Cap One is evil but anyone with good or bad experiences with their auto finance please chime in before I pull the trigger. But what I do like about COAF, is that you can pay extra each month (sent to a different address than your regular payment) towards the principal. Once you pay enough towards principal, you can request a re-am. Which basically takes your remaining balance, and spreads it over the remaining months. Basically it lowers your monthly payment. My payment went from $315 to $198.Here is a thread that might help you, pay attention to my posts in the thread. http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271295
daveyzzz
Thanks for the tip. I saw they had no penalty for paying off early.
bmackay62
Just did a refi with CapOne Auto and went smooth as ice. Got a decent interest rate and was really easy to complete the process. BUT - be warned. If you are even one day late on a payment, regardless of the 10 day grace period, you will get bombarded by calls to any of the phone numbers you provided to them. I paid on-line once on the due date and received at least 15 automated calls that day reminding me that the payment was due and to hold for a CSR who would be happy to take my payment over the phone.
