s.pinky21
I have a debt with AVON in the amount of 428.51, they have not reported this amount of any of my credit reports. BUT it is in AVON collections. If I pay can they all of a sudden put this on my CR? If there is a possibility of that what sort of letter shoulD I submit to them before payment? Sorry if this sounds silly, just worried!
Amerikaner83
They "could"....but they won't if it's written in as a condition of payment. Since it's not on yet...they have no reason (other than being an A$$) to report it. How old is the debt? If you do pay it...have an agreement in place BEFOREHAND that they will not report to CRAs. s.pinky21
The debt is about a year old, I am young and made a few screw ups so im trying to fix them now. What should the letter sound like? Similar to PFD? TIA
jasen
Yep, just like a PFD. Call it a PFKYMS (keep your mouths shut).Basically hit on how much you are going to pay, that the account will be considered settled and closed, and that their end of the bargain is to not report this account as a derogatory tradeline to any CRA. The rest is the same fodder on the example PFD letters, I'd imagine. You want a signed copy back, as this is your contract.
