schankia
I had 4 accounts listed on my CR through West Asset for medical bills. I have disputed them on several occasions through CRA and they verified each time. I sent letters to DV and the letters came back stating the address was incorrect. I called West Asset today to get correct address and was told that the accts were returned to the hospital. My question is doesnt this mean that the West Asset needs to be removed from my reports? Also doesn't the hospital now have to send me a letter in order to attempt to collect again? I asked West Asset to remove themselves from my report and was told that they will not until it is paid and they are refusing to give me another address other than the one that has been provided to the CRA which is incorrect. thomassl
Many creditors utilize one or more collection agencies to obtain monies for past due accounts. If the hospital still owned the debt, and it appears they do, the collection agency was unsuccessful in collecting the returned the debt back to the hospital. If both the hospital and the collection agency are on your credit report, one or the other should show a "0" balance. They both cannot be showing a delinquent balance. Since the hospital still owns the account, they may decide to use another collection agency for the debt.

Moneedshelp
the last address I have for WAM is :220 N. A SunsetSherman TX 75092This address is listed on my cr as well 2703 N HWY Sherman TX 75090I think something came back from one of these addresses. I don't have the docs to check right now, but will let you know which one it was. Another address (one from my BBB complaint)PO Box 2547 Sherman, TX 75091-2547Good luck with them. They really suck. I initially had 6 or 7 accounts on my report listed by them. DV'd they never responded and would verify with the CRA. I am down to two accounts due to fall of by the summer of this year. I filed with BBB, and they responded with lies. Very frustrating, and all I wanted was a PFD. Since the accounts are just aging off my report, now they won't get anything. Again good luck. someonesomewhere
yes the address on my report is invalidDispute with the CRA via CMRRR. Tell 'em you dispute the CA's claim, you've written and asked for validation of their claim, but your letters keep coming back as undeliverable.Save the returned letters in case they are refusing to accept anything CMRRR from you. Photocopy the outside of the envelope showing it was not deliverable, and include that with your dispute to the CRA.
schankia
I am not having any luck with the CRA. I already sent in copies of the envelopes and they keep telling me that they can not remove them because the items were verified. I also have a letter from Arrow agreeing to remove an item and they have not. I sent in that letter and the items were not removed.
betam4x
I would ask them how they are able to verify when the contact information is quite clearly INCORRECT.

schankia
I called and sent letters asking about verification and they said that the accounts were verified electronically. I also spoke to West Asset Management and I keep getting incorrect addresses from them and the letters are being returned back to me.
betam4x
Others may disagree, and i'll admit i'm new to this forum, but i believe in being tough on the CRAs. Remind them that it is their duty (it's the law) to ensure the information reported is accurate. Then fire off a letter to West Asset Management reminding them it's a violation of the FCRA to report information that is not accurate. Give them 15 days to remove it. Then again, that's just me and i dislike CAs, CRAs, and OCs in general.
dano009
I've got several acc't with West Asset in Sherman. I sent CMRRR to two or three addys for them. None were signed for. However, when I sent my DV to P.O. Box 1420Sherman, TX 75090they were signed for. After signing for them, they didn't verify with EQ. I'm waiting to see if they do with TU. EX won't budge (they verified before West Asset got my DV letters) saying those TL have "previously been investigated."

Moneedshelp
While my complaint has not yet listed positive results, I would suggest that you file a BBB complaint. I did not get WAM deleted from my account, but we are still going back and forth. I have pointed out the BBB that they have lied about sending information to me. Awaiting another response from BBB and/or WAM.File a complaint. Let BBB know how they are providing you with false info. Also complain to the AG

I have contacted the OC and I have also files a complaint with the BBB on both companies. I have also contacted the insurance company who states that the bills were never submitted. Gravity357
Good deal on the BBB complaint. what did they do for you? delete?Well I paid it in settlement after the woman told me that it would make it go away. I took this to believe that it would leave my credit report and after complaining enough, it did. If the hospital recalled the debt and it's unpaid, then you have a good chance to setup a payment plan. I'd do that.
