Experian dispute information

Hands down this bureau has been the worst to deal with regarding disputes and personal information errors since beginning this journey with credit repair.

I hope my experience will help others in their battle against this giant. Years ago, I filed suit against them for not investigating disputed information regarding former addresses and known names as they were not even close to my own. We went to mediation and it went nowhere. I didnt follow up with them in court though I should have. I recently called them to dispute the info once again and the initial person said I had to be transferred to a specific person because I had previously sued them. Once I get this woman on the phone, I explain why I was calling and what I wanted investigated. She immediately starts quoting Experian's policy against doing that and that I would need to follow up with my creditors. I explained that there were no creditors of mine that reported information that way to them and she said that (of course ZZZZ ) there was nothing they could do.

I asked her what part of the FCRA exempted Experian from investigating erroneous personal information if it has been identified by the individual as erroneous? She replies there's nothing they can do. I said, "We'll OK, if you need to write me another check before you follow the law, that's fine. Can I have your first and last name please so I may forward it to my lawyer."

After quite a lengthy time on hold after a hurried, "...just a moment please!" she came back and asked me what addresses and names were incorrect. Hope this helps.

That is the best story I have heard about Experian. I had a similar situation with Experian but I did not get quite a favorable response from the lady I talked to.

In my case, I had disputed many times with Experian, accounts that I had evidence were reporting innacurately, and I never once got a report. the only response I ever received from XPN was a letter stating they did not believe I sent the letter, and for my security they would not forward a report. On and On it goes.

So I call them and after a lenghty discussion, civilty breaks down, and having the evidence I needed to take them to court, the response was simply, thats fine, please sue us. I was told there are tens of thousands of cases and complaints against them that they no longer care and that I should get in line. Her strategy worked as I never filed suit. Luckily I have educated myself enough to get the items removed.

Did it myself. Went to mediation and this rep from Experian comes down and lies her a$$ off... we never received his dispute, but he a has a CMRRR card, well that letter wasnt in it, well can you show us what was, no.... Total waste of time. I would just file suit and let the cards fall where they may but if I am going to get special attention now that I have formerly filed legal action, this may have been worth all of the trouble to begin with.
