Dear Ms. XXXXXXXXXXX:

As a result of the numerous contacts you have made recently with Equifax, the Office of Executive Consumer Services is currently reviewing and maintaining your file. Our review of your file makes it clear that we have repeatedly lodged frivolous disputes challenging information in your Equifax credit file that Equifax has on numerous occasions verified as accurately reported.

We have recieved another request from you to reinvestigate much of the same information we have previously investigated. Consistent with your past disputes, you have not provided any additional relevant information or documenation as we requested. Therefore, we are unable to take further action on many of the items that you have disputed with us. Any futher request(s) for reinvestigation of the same items without additional relevant information or documentation will be deemed frivolous.

It is not necessary for you to send multiple and/or duplicate mailing as this delays the process of responding to you. All correspondence will be redirected to this office where a detailed assessment of your disputes will be conducted. Please allow us to address all of your specific concerns at one time. Your barrage of individual mail correspondence may cause your file to become extraordinarily voluminous due to excessive personal inquiries. Inquiries are a factual record of file access. Should you have reason to believe that the inquiries were unauthorized, please contact the creditor directly and follow there internal fraud procedures. AR and AM inquiries indicate a periodic review of your credit hisory by one of your creditors, which remains on file for 12 months.

Should you have further concerns, please contact our office directly for assistance.

Sincerely,

Gail Barnes

Office of Executive Consumer Services

ok so heres the thing... i didnt mail that much stuff to EQ, mostly EX AND TU. cause EQ was done, only inquiries remained. i think i mailed 3 things to EQ over the course of a month about the inquiries, and then did things online and got 5 of them gone so far. and the other thing- they never asked for documentation or evidence on anything... what is that about???

so is this letter just blowing smoke or?? what do u think?:confused::roll:

No they are not just blowing smoke. They do have a right under FCRA to deem disputes frivolous. If they have sufficient documentation proving they have conducted a proper investigation in regards to a particular dispute they do not have to re-investigate. If you were going to send say, a copy of a police report, for example, when claiming an account was "not mine due to ID theft" then they would have to re-investigate since this would be considered new documention.

I've been in special handling for over 4 years since I sued EQ and, if you think about it, it has its' advantages.

You no longer have to deal with the droids that spit out mindless, scripted words about what they can and can't do.

One-stop shopping with someone that actually understands both the FCRA and FDCPA.

I railed against it at first, but ALL my issues were handled by the same person in a highly professional and expedited manner.

My EQ is CLEAN and 760, but I still have almost instant access to someone who can handle any issues should they arise.

Not at all.

I had incorrect info on my reports that would get deleted then reappear.

Trying to get it fixed was a major PITA, so I sued them.

The commissioner wasn't very knowledgable about credit law and didn't really take the time to hear what I had to say/show as far as the law here.

In the end, the info was removed and I got $200.00 from them, but it was never about the money.

The personalized handling I've had since has been more valuable.

In my case, everything I disputed was deleted.

There have been reinsertions, old accounts using SLIGHTLY different account numbers and derivitives of the CA name, etc.

Of course, I've got a proven track record with my particular contact and I don't dispute frivolously.

As always YMMV, but for me it's been great.

You will now receive personal treatment. That is the treatment I get from TU. Just get your stuff together prior to dispute and have a good plan. I agree with DEBTMAMA now things get good for you.

oh wow. cool. so what do i do if everything bad has been deleted off EQ? should i just wait to call if IF something pops back on???

i hope nothing goes back on. bah

That's what I'm doing.

As far as I can tell, once you're in special handling, you don't leave. At least that's what I was told.

I don't have a problem with that. At least you know you will be speaking with someone in the USA.

As I said before, I'm clean, but credit repair is neverending and there is always some bottom-feeder waiting to put something on your report whether it's yours or not.
