When I started my credit repair about 6 weeks ago a friend of mine did too. He went with Lexington Law, I on the other hand Google'd it up and ended up here. I talked to my friend the other day about what Lexington has done for him yet, All he has gotten back at this point is the automatic responses from the 3 bureaus acknowledging his disputes. Since I started almost a month after him I have only received one response back from Experian at this point ( http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=279336 ). Hopefully ill get some more mail this week from the other 2 bureau's. Anyways I feel like its Me vs Lexington, I wanna make sure I repair my own credit better than Lexington does my friends. I emailed him asking about his recent progress with his credit repair and he told me that Lexington just emails him what they're doing, he than offered me his Login and Pass to go onto his account to see what Lexington has been doing for him. I logged on his account today and looked around a bit. I must say they seem very professional and legit to any one not knowing anything about credit repair. So at this point does any one have any specific info from Lexington they wanna see ? ? ? OR if you guys want I could just post almost everything I see than we can all just check it out and criticize it ? What do you guys think ? ? ?

Heres The First Responce Email To Siging Up

Adam Fullman, Esq., Directing Attorney

Case# xxxx

Click here to update contact info

Dear XXXX,

My name is Daniel Lewis and I will be the paralegal working on your case. I have outlined the four essential steps that make up the process of cleaning up your credit reports. These steps are repeated until you are satisfied with the results.

Step 1: Forward your credit reports.

In order for us to send disputes to the credit bureaus we need you to send us your most current credit reports by means of one of the following:

You can order all three credit reports online by visiting a website such as www.bestcreditreports.com and then supplying us with the username and password.

Or you can request separate copies from each of the credit bureaus.

For information on obtaining a free copy of your credit report visit www.annualcreditreport.com

Please mail your reports to:

Adam Fullman, Esq., Directing Attorney

Mailing:

PO Box: Lexington Law Firm - California

215 E. Orangthorpe Ave. 0000322

Fullerton, CA 92832

OR

Physical:

Lexington Law Firm - California

11580 Trask Ave.

Garden Grove, CA 92843

Or you can e-mail your credit reports in PDF format to documents@creditrights.org

Step 2: Completing the Dispute Valet Section of our client website.

Completing the Dispute Valet is a crucial step that must be completed before we send disputes to the credit bureaus.

Please use the following information to access your case.

Website: www.lexlawca.com

Username: XXXX

Password: XXXX

Once we receive your credit reports we will notify you via e-mail and request that you complete the Dispute Valet.

Step 3: Lexington sends disputes to the credit bureaus.

After you have sent us your credit reports and completed the Dispute Valet, Lexington will promptly begin the dispute process by drawing upon its vast arsenal of credit report repair strategies and experience to challenge negative items directly with the credit bureaus.

Depending on the number of negative items on your credit reports this step will be repeated for each subsequent loop through the cycle.

For the best outcome you should allow sufficient time for our work to show results. This is a long term process and not a short term fix.

Step 4: Send us the results.

The credit bureaus have 30 days to investigate your dispute. After that, each bureau must inform you of the results of their investigation, update your credit report and send you a copy of the updated report. However this process can take 60 days between the day we send a dispute and you receive an updated report. When you receive a response from a bureau, make a copy of the updated report and send it to Lexington to move your case forward. Thus the cycle begins anew, this time hopefully with fewer negative items on your credit report. We will repeat these steps until you are satisfied with the results.

Again welcome to the firm and if you have any questions please let me know. We are open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. PST 7 days a week. If I am not available feel free to speak with any other paralegal who will have access to your case.

Thank You,

Daniel Lewis

Heres Another Email Sent To Him By Lexington

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for the e-mail. It is great to hear from you. You have received what we call a stall letter. In response to consumers' dispute letters, the credit reporting agencies send out various stall letters to delay the time before they actually have to comply with a consumer's request. The credit reporting agencies justify sending stall letters under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which gives them the right to demand proper identification and to refuse to investigate frivolous disputes. But a stall letter's real goal is to stall the consumer's efforts to clean up his or her credit report. Face it: if it were not for the Fair Credit Reporting Act, no credit reporting agency would have ever allowed any consumer to see what was on his or her credit report.

Many clients, upon receiving a stall letter, get discouraged and want to give up. That is exactly what the credit reporting agencies want you to do. If you give up and stop exercising your right to dispute items on your credit report, they win. It can be frustrating to put up with their delaying tactics, but if you do, eventually they will give up and that is when inaccurate or otherwise improperly reported items get deleted.

Please remember to keep the original reports for your records and mail legible copies to me. Here is our address for your records:

looks good so far. someone told me once if you have a hundred negatives on your report, how much time is a credit repair co willing to spend including postage, ect for 50 dollars a month? i personally have just started my own credit repair a couple of months ago and plan on doing it myself for probably at least around another year while the real-estate market continues to tank. i may in a year or so go with a professional credit repair co, because by then there may be some things that i can't get off my report, and who knows maybe one of those companies can have better luck with their expertise than me. they certainly are not all shams. i just hope i don't hinder their chances by my initial newbie disputes. if you guys have time on your hands, i think the two of you will do quite well. and hey, you are saving money over your friend. thank you for the info, it is very useful. please keep us posted on both of your progress...

They are doing nothing new or different than what others here on this forum have done.

Everything they do is the same as you do yourself with the help of this free forum.

Yes, they are a "legitimate" credit repair agency, but again- they do nothing different or better and charge for it.

If someone wants to spend money- they'd be better off buying the "Sexy" book.

IMO- learning and doing it myself gave me the satisfaction that a credit repair agency can never do. It's quite empowering.

And.....I've said this before, because this is ongoing what's your friend gonna do the next time he hits a rough patch and is back in the same situation he is in now? He's probably gonna pay someone to do this again? I don't have to do that because I know what to do to clear up the results of a rough patch. I don't have to keep calling someone to do this for me because I now have the knowledge and can achieve these goals myself. :p Like Gypsie said, it's empowering! :)++

I Agree, now that I know how to do it I rather do it my self. Plus I know I will give my credit repair the full attention it requires, somone else will just do theyre job which probaby isnt that much. Also I love how much I have learned about credit in general. I dident know much to begin with which is why I got into trouble.

my brother used them for about a year..they repeatedly disputed accounts as "not mine"..after the bureas refused to investigate any further and deemed his disputes frivilous, lexington law started to play the stall game with him....until he got wise and cancelled...ive gotten more removed for him than they were able to do as "professionals"

Exactly! If you don't go thru the experiences of fixin this yourself, you're likely to fall back into the same hole again. The best deterrent against future credit problems is - going thru a repair process, figuring out what you did to harm your credit, learning how to fix it, build it back up to an acceptable level and keep it there once it's done!

It's not impossible - you just have to KNOW that you can do it and keep checking here on a daily basis. You 'll get answers to questions that haven't even crossed your mind yet.

Now - Go Get Some!

I dealt with Lexington for 6 months. In part because I was lazy. What got my goat about them is that when you send something to them, they sent you back a canned response. In the 6 months I was with them, I got 3 deletions (2 from Transunion and one from Equifax).

I googled like the OP and found this place and kicked myself in the head. I have a folder full of emails with Lexington, and honestly, a newborn can write these letters better. I had to cancel and not wait for that year warranty...my credit is too important. I am kinda glad I went with them because now I know what to send to the bureaus so that I don't get stalled anymore (like a copy of a bill and driver's license). I won't get the stalled treatment anymore.
