nolove4collections
OK i have a collections from Reliant Capital Solutions. I got a letter from them on Dec 4 2007. I sent them a letter back saying prove this debt is mine and do not call me at work or at home they called my job 2 times and my house once this morning. I sent my letter Certified mail they got it on Dec 9 2007 so they did get it well within the 30day window. My question is i know this is a FDCPA Violation for calling me at home and at work. So is this $3,000 in my pocket or just a $1,000 i can defenitley prove that they called my house my job is a different story. I just want to know if they called my house lets say 4 times in one day is it $4,000 or still the basic $1,000. I'm so eager to know this.
someonesomewhere
Take a gander here.http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267313If they keep calling you at work, and you have some sort of proof they are calling you at work (like a photo of the Caller ID unit), chat with a consumer lawyer and see whether they'll take yer case.On calling you at home, there's no FDCPA violation unless you C&D them. Did you? If you did, you might well have defeated the purpose of the DV with a C&D.
