schankia
I have recently started receiving phone calls from a "law office" claiming that I owe a debt that I have never heard of. The refuse to send anything in writing and refuse to give out any information about their office. I have done some research and found their info and I am posting it here if it is ok for anyone else who may be getting harrassed by this company. I have already contacted the BBB, FTC and the AG in New York. Law offices of Vincent Peter Cignarele5100 Transit RoadDepew, NY 14043-4465These websites have also been helpful in finding these liars:http://www.giovelawofficeexposed.com/brenda.htmlhttp://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-866-878-5796/3The website for 800notes actually helps you to find information on companies that call you unknown

Donna47129
Send a DV, that's what I did after a phone call to my work. They in turn, after about 2 months, sent me a letterhead of another JDB saying that they bought the debt. They nicely asked for payment, I didn't respond and haven't heard anything else. This was about 3 months ago. At least no more phone calls!
wmrochester
Does anyone have any suggestions for someone (myself) who has, unfortunately, been sending payments to Cignarele's office for months now? It seems all of these postings are from individuals who have received calls but didn't send payments. I found this site, as well as other sites citing the issues regarding Cignarele's "law offices" when I tried to find his address online because I'd misplaced it. Forgive my ignorance of legal matters, but, I've received a letter and phonecall asking for my urgent attention after not sending payments for two months (following my being informed of his questionable authenticity) but I'm wondering if I'm "stuck" now that I've started payments? Yes, quit making them and send them a DV. Don't send another penny...
