Rick9972 Posted December 30, 2007 Report Share Posted December 30, 2007 They are not required by law to do anything, except report accurate information to the CRA's, if they report.Really if you get right down to it, there is nothing you can do if they report inaccurate information. However the OC does not have to investigate and definately does not have to provide you with any information about any investigation they conduct. Really the only investigation a OC has to conduct, is when you dispute thru the CRA's. Then they are required to conduct a reasonalbe investigation and report back to the CRA. Then the CRA is required to provide you with the result of the investigation.Read the FCRA about twice, and things begin to fall into place.
