BillS
From the Reno Paper www.rgj.com :AB127, which originally would have allowed consumers to secretly record calls from debt collectors. That bill was changed to allow recording only if debtors first notify the collectors that they are recording the call. Goes into effect 1/1/08. stefdr
Not a big issue. When a CA calls inform them you record all calls from CA's and if they object, hang up. If they can record calls for so called "quality assurance" purposes, so can we. In the first mailed correspondence to a CA, state that you record all calls from CA's, and them calling is their consent to record the call. They can't call and tell you stop recording.
