debtfree
My husband has a credit card that we have not used in about a year. (good, right? no carried balance, etc.) Well, today I get a letter saying acct was closed due to inactivity AND, the kicker, ....."Please note that the closed status of this account will prevent new credit cards from being issued in the future." WTH???? We paid every month ON TIME when we did have a balance. So we pay it off and don't use it for a while and they close it AND say we are no longer able to get another? Weird. So, anyone else get this? Plus, won't that be bad on his credit report. Account closed by credit grantor. This pisses me off. I did call and they said it will say "account closed due to inactivity". If that is even true will that hurt him?
Krash
I don't think that it will hurt his credit really, I mean what is the name of the credit card? And that can't get another probably means you won't be able to get another one from them, usually subprime cards do this. Let us know!
debtfree
His credit score is about 675 now and it was a crappy ole HH card. I don't care about getting another one from them. I'm just irritated about the whole deal. Thanks
