secondchances
I am in GA and I am having a hard time understand the code. I have also found differing information on the subject.
Amerikaner83
Did you make such an admission?if the code is unclear, I'd ask a lawyer.
secondchances
No, I did not make any admission but in disputing, I have challenged the DOLA and DOFD. That I guess is not actually admitting but in a way it seems that I am admitting it is mine to be able to challenge these things. I'll ask my attorney in our phone conference on Wed. I just didn't want to wait for the answer...
2001Badyear
I doubt that they could infer it's yours (in court) by you asking for those dates. Defense would seem to be you were just trying to see whay they might think this was yours, based on activity/lack thereof. No lawyer, but think that would be a tough argument for them to hang their hat on. LadynRed
Admitting the debt is yours does NOT reset the SOL, UNLESS (in most states), you put that admission in writing.but in disputing, I have challenged the DOLA and DOFDAnd how did that happen ? The DOFD can NEVER be changed, not by you, not by a CA. That date is required, by law, to be reported by the OC within 30 days of the delinquency happening.
