NFCU account

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get approved for a Checking/Savings account with these guys? I applied so that I can try to get their MC and LOC but have heard nothing nor have I seen a CR pull. I did get something of a confirmation number at the end but have seen no other activity on my CRs.

Did they send you an Access Number?

If you're not sure, try this website to see if you can 'find' your access number. This will tell you if you have an access number or not. If you have one, good change your application was approved

When I applied a few months ago (my DH is ex Navy and opened an account when he was 20) they didn't do any type of pull on me. I don't know if that was because we went into a branch and did it together and I paid the $5 to open the savings account.

I didn't get an access number just a confirmation number. Tried calling them this morning and nothing has shown up yet. I did try the access number to see if I had one but nothing yet. They said that with the holiday it takes up to 48 hours and she isn't sure why it hasn't shown up yet. She said if there is nothing by Monday to give them a call.

Ok, there could be a couple of reasons I won't get it.

1) DH burnt the account and he's the one I'm using to get in. So it may no longer be open.

2) I'm on Chexsystems. Anyone know if NFCU uses Chexsystems?

If it's due to number 1 I still have a chance to get in with my sister, she was with the Navy and she owes me.
