lefdi
In Sep/07 I was late on my BofA card. My husband was diagnosed with Brain Cancer the week the payment was late. I have never been late in 10 years. BofA says that because of the FRCA they cannot remove this late fee. I have a letter from the doctor stating the day of diagnosis. Is there any mercy for "undue hardship" or medically incapacitated???Is there any way to get this off???? My score dropped 100 pts!!!
musiqdefunk
I believe they are correct, the FRCA does not mention anything about what needs to be reported, however once something is reported it must be accurate. So they might stick to their guns on this one.You might want to create an investigation with the Credit Bureaus to see if it can get changed through them. I know this won't help your score but you can also add in a statement explaining why you were late on your credit report which does not help to much on credit cards but if your are looking for house it is very good to do so..
