lovebug5
I'd consider calling EQ and asking them if you have a split file. If you have no baddies on your report yet lenders are pulling up a CR with baddies on it, this may be a case of split information...
Fizzle1979
You should be able to get a free credit report from EQ because you were denied. Might want to get one if you havent looked at it recently.

If they find additional information under your SSN or name, they can merge the info together...But you definitely want to know if this has happened! Fizzle1979
In my opinion, special handling is a good thing. That dept seems to know more than the "regular" customer assistance dept.

It's been my experience that the "special handling" divisions take more time to handle your situations. Don't worry, you'll get it fixed!

Ahntara
The "reasons" you listed are provided by scoring software. They are generalized and non-specific. There is a small list that coincides with deductions. And, there's always deductions so the software has to spit out something. They may not necessarily apply to YOU and your situation. You need to call your CU and find out why THEY denied you. If they quoted you this, they were reading it off of (the score part of) a CR. Find out what their position is on granting or denying you credit. Most lenders qualify borrowers first by score, then look closer for other details like minimum number of accounts, DTI ratio, etc. If your score was too low to meet their requirements, you get denied no matter what the scoring software says.
