soun18
I have a good one for the board Portfolio has sent collection letters ( $420.00 ).... I DV'd them in a timily manner... ( registered letter )NOT YET REPORTING to bureaus...They sent me account info ( on Portfolio's letterhead ). An account summary that consists of the amount owed, acct #, original creditor - JCPenny, etc..Some BS affidavit that they own the debt with a notorized leter / statement. These are things the board has seen before.I wrote them back and told them it was NOT validation and to bite me !!They went away for about 2 months.....I got a new letter stating they want payment and "Why have I ignored there request for payment?"I DV them again... Restate my demand for validation.... ( Registered letter #2)I get a letter stating that they have provided what courts have deemed as "validation". They site various cases. blah blah blah.HERE IS THE GOOD PART In my letters I state it is not my account and could not be... Portfolio's "Validation" clearly proves it.....The account was opened ( in there documentation ) in 1973 @ JCPenny...I would have been 8 years old ( I am dating myself )....I know the account is my father's account... He is now past away....I will sue there a$$'s off if they report it !!!!My attorney was drooling at the thought of this when I told him about it on the phone today..... ( I am in the process of suing Equifax / CSC / Credco and my old mortgage company for a "late" being reported 3+ years after the mortgage was closed when I sold the house ( and I was never late )...It may take a while, but I will get my vengence on these A-wholes

soun18
I am sending "another" certified letter that basically states..."If you feel so strong about your position regarding this account.... Then feel free to ignore my warnings... This again is not my account"I also tell them I will not pay the bill. I am disregarding any and all demands to respond in 25 days ( they state it in the letter ). I also tell them this is the 3rd demand for DV.Let's just see how long it takes for them to report... Then I sue.....

soun18
To SuperB... That is the letter they sent me first in responce to my first DV... After I got the letter you recieved I sent a second letter stating that it was not Validation and I continue to dispute the debt - not mine... They sent the letter I described above...( beginning of thread )I sent a third DV letter stating no more contact from them is needed until they "prove it's mine"... Any BS on my report from them will result in to a court filing on my part...
