wahoo238
I was just digging through my old reports (2005) and found them. In my case paid them nothing and they pretty much folded, though they did sell to Midland. I assume they purchased the debt, they may have a hard time with DV. Play your cards right and watch for violations these guys are morons.

insomniac
What they said.Asset will send you a nice little dunning letter "welcoming" you as a customer, then when you DV, you'll probably get a piece of paper listing nothing more than the original creditor and an inflated balance. Judging from the posts around here, they like to sue when the SOL is almost up and they count on people not showing up to court. A NACA attorney in Chicago got a small class-action suit going against Asset when they attempted to collect on a bunch of time-barred Citibank debts; everyone involved got their debts forgiven. See 04-cv-01846 Falconer v. Asset Acpt LLC.
